never know Hartford was the center of logging activities
that it was in the "Roaring 20's" |

Much of the Smokies left town on railroad
tracks just like these. Fortunately the logging
stopped before all the virgin timber was cut. Old
Settler's Trail in the Smoky Mountains winds through a
virgin forest with huge, old trees. |
